This Sunday, May 21, we have a special guest speaker in the Men’s Intergenerational Class that usually meets in Room 211. Tony Tadros, Senior Producer of programming for the Arabic language at World Christian Broadcasting, speaks on Islam and gives a report from his recent trip to Cairo. Tony was actually in Cairo on Palm Sunday when Christian churches were bombed, and has some amazing stories to report.
This class meets in the Conference Room this Sunday. Anyone interested is invited to attend.
Tadros was born and raised in a Christian family in Cairo, Egypt. Growing up in the Arab world, he studied Islamic religion and culture as part of school curricula. A linguist and professional translator by training, Tony also worked in the fields of cross-cultural communications, media, and broadcasting. He lived in Europe for several years before moving to the United States. Since 2006, Tadros has worked with World Christian Broadcasting in Franklin producing Arabic services covering the Middle East and North Africa. He also plays the violin with The Candles, a Christian Middle Eastern ensemble based in California.
