Our Vision

To be known as a church that embodies Jesus in all we do, serving those in need, leading people to Him, and strengthening believers.

This statement guides worship at Harpeth Hills.  We gather together on the Lord's Day to remind ourselves that God alone is God - none of us has taken his place.  While we might use words like uplifting, positive or encouraging to describe our worship, these adjectives do not mean the emphasis is on our feelings or experiences.  We do not gather to get something from God.  We come together to give to the Holy One of Israel.

And yet the scriptures talk of "encouraging one another in songs, hymns and spiritual songs."  This mutual encouragement takes place as we position ourselves at the foot of the cross.  We encourage each other as we worship together to not give up hope, to not cease in doing good while remembering the cross.  Something good indeed happens when God's people gather together to worship.  We hope that you will join us.
