The Story
We will focus on Acts 6:1-7:54, the story of Stephen's life, arrest, and murder.
Please read the passage and be familiar enough with the details that you
are able to tell the story without reading it. You do not have to retell the
sermon. You may recap it by saying something like, "God made a covenant
with the Israelites through Abraham, but like the ancient Israelites, the
Sanhedrin were resisting the Holy Spirit."
Tell the story. The group rebuilds the story. Read the story. Use the discussion questions to dig into the story and be introspective.
Prayers of God's People Prayer time focuses on the younger generations in our city and in our church.
Pray that the Lord will grow relationships across generations so that we might all be encouraged, inspired, and transformed.
Pray for resilience in our children. Pray that they will know that God is their rock and He is dependable.
Pray for the Lord to raise up leaders for His church.
Pray for them to listen to the voice of God and His word above the voices of the culture around them.
