Lloyd grew up in a military family that eventually settled down in Clarksville, TN. After college graduation, Lloyd worked with FamilyLife in Little Rock, AR for 15 years. He attended Dallas Theological Seminary where he earned his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (M.A.B.S.).
Lloyd and his family moved to Franklin at the end of 1996 to co-plant Fellowship Bible Church, where he currently serves as one of the teaching pastors. Lloyd and his wife Lisa have been married for 30 years and reside in Franklin. They have three children: Darden (Jordyn), Susan, and Sally.
