Fill out a talent survey to let us know about your talents and interests. This information will be recorded in Realm for future volunteer opportunities at Harpeth Hills. You can fill out the survey online or print one out by clicking the buttons above.

Surveys will also be mailed to church members the week of August 11.

How You Can Serve

Talent Descriptions

Accounting

Audit, balance, total, or calculate. Work with those who need assistance creating budgets, managing debts, etc.

Automotive Buying

Manage the purchase of a car.

Automotive Repair/Maintenance

Fix or provide general maintenance to cars.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

Guide others in everyday expenses and planning for future financial goals.

Carpentry/Woodworking

Design, build, and repair structures or items from wood.

CDL Driving

Drive buses requiring a CDL license.

Childcare

Care for children.

Computers & Technology

Operate and troubleshoot computers and other digital devices.

Cooking

Prepare, serve, feed, and cater. Provide meals for those in need.

Counseling

Guide, advise, support, and listen regarding mental health.

Creative Arts/Crafts/Design

Draw, create, and design

Decorating

Make rooms or events more beautiful, attractive, and appealing.

Dental Care

Diagnose, treat, and prevent dental issues.

Documentation Preparation

Draft policies and protocols, or assist in completing government or healthcare forms.

Driving/Transportation

Drive individuals to meetings/appointments. Drive groups in the church van.

Electrical

Perform minor household electrical tasks, such as replacing light fixtures,

switches, and outlets, or to provide advice on working with a repair company.

Engineering

Construct, design, and plan.

Event Planning

Plan, organize, and oversee events.

Fencing

Design, construct, and install barriers or enclosures, such as gates and privacy fences.

Flooring

Install floors or oversee work from an outside company.

Floral Arranging

Design and create floral arrangements.

Home Appliance Repair

Perform minor repairs or maintenance to household appliances (washers, dryers, HVAC, etc.)

Home Repair

Perform minor home repairs and projects.

Home/General Construction

Construct, make, and assemble.

Hospitality/Welcoming

Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

House Cleaning/Organizing

Renew, refresh, and organize homes for those unable to do so due to age or disability.

House Painting

Paint houses, either interior or exterior.

Law

Provide legal advice or draft general legal documents.

Medicine

Understand and explain medical terminology, guide medical options, and serve on a medical team.

Mentoring

Advise and guide in a small group or one-on-one context.

Moving/Relocation

Pack, move, and transport items.

Pharmaceutical Science

Understand and explain commonly prescribed medications.

Photography & Videography

Take pictures, film, or edit videos.

Physical Therapy

Assess and treat physical injuries, improve mobility, and reduce pain through exercise and rehabilitation therapy.

Planning

Arrange, map out, and prepare.

Plumbing

Work on household plumbing or oversee the work of an outside company.

Real Estate

Assist in buying and selling homes, or provide help in finding housing.

Roofing

Conduct general roofing repairs or oversee the work of an outside company.

Social Work

Assess needs, empathize, and connect individuals to resources for mental health, family, or social support.

Speech Therapy

Evaluate and treat communication disorders, helping individuals improve speech and language use.

Guide, motivate, and mentor athletes.
