There is a predictability to disaster relief. Whether a flood, hurricane, tornado, fire or some other gut-punching event you can be certain the people you are going to encounter will be overwhelmed. The job is too big. The devastation is too much. They simply cannot clean up this mess on their own. So it is when we have made a disaster of our life. Whether the devastation is catastrophic and obvious or subtle and often hidden, the result is the same. Try as we might, we simply cannot clean up this mess on our own.
